For a millennia, women have birthed their babies in the presence of other women who cared for, nurtured and supported them and saw to the needs of the family. When a woman went into labor, her mother and her sisters came to be by her side. After the baby was born, these women continued to help out, providing tips on baby care and encouraging the mother in her new role. Today, this social web of support has nearly disappeared. We live thousands of miles away from our families and often feel alone during child birth.
That's when my job begins. As a doula, I will be a guide for you and your partner before, during and after your baby is born. I will provide you with information explaining all the available options so you can make an informed decision about the details surrounding the birth of your child. In addition, I will offer positive support and loving care to you, your partner and your child.
